February Overview at LaneSystems

12 March 2021

As yet another month draws to a close, not only have we had a couple of fun days to celebrate, we’ve also received some wonderful news!

With this in mind, hold on to your hats as the LaneSystems team prepare to update you on exactly what’s been happening!

But first, we must mention this;

We were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Captain Sir Thomas Moore. This wonderful gentleman pledged to do 100 lengths of his garden before turning a century. Not only did this amazing man lift spirits across the country, he raised a staggering £33,000,000 for the NHS. You can read all about Captain Tom’s brave and intriguing journey via our blog, Walk on Captain Tom. Fly high Captain Tom!

Nutella anyone?

Surely there isn’t a single person on the planet who dislikes Nutella? In fact, this chocolate spread is so popular, there’s even a day to celebrate its mere existence! On 5th February, people across the globe celebrated such chocolatey goodness (as did we of course)!

IT Funding: Tees Valley

Throughout February we have focused on helping new and existing clients with business funding opportunities. Due to the pandemic, the Government continues to provide grants to businesses across the UK and also here, in the Tees Valley. To find out what’s available, please take a look at our blog, Business Support in the North East.

At LaneSystems we don’t just focus on IT Support. We’re here to help with IT funding applications whilst guiding you in the right direction.

Need motivation anyone?

Through difficult times, we feel it’s important to stay motivated as much as possible. If even just one of our Facebook quotes helps someone then we’ve done our bit!

“If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore”!

What else have we enjoyed?

Valentines & Pancake Day of course! How can we possibly write a monthly review and not include these? Whilst Valentines perhaps remains controversial with many feeling it’s all to make money, the majority of our team saw it very differently this year. Taking the time out to spend with partners or even children, we were somewhat forced into thinking outside the box in how we could spend time together. Some spent the day playing board games, others took beautiful walks whilst some enjoyed cooking together.

Lifting the Restrictions

Finally we have the lifting of the restrictions road map, set out by the government as of 22nd February. All we have to do now is keep our fingers crossed that everything goes to plan and we’re rewarded with some familiar levels of normality.

With each month seemingly passing faster, it won’t be long until we’re bringing you our March update. Stay safe!
