Beehive create new classrooms for Primary School

13 November 2009

Working with main contractor Kingdom Group at the Coppetts Wood School, Beehive Folding Partitions recently turned the existing canteen into a dual-purpose teaching area.

The conversion was completed by using operable walls to create two new classroom facilities both with their own entrance door. Prior to this project, the space was used mainly for a lunchtime canteen area, but now they have the option to have one or two classrooms and a third teaching area or one large class room. The glazed front gives light and maintains natural light in the adjacent corridor area as well as making the children feel more comfortable.

John Siddall, General Manager of Beehive Folding Partitions described this project as “evolutionary” – beginning with a concept from the school, then turning it into flexible classroom space.

Beehive Folding Partitions is a family run business who have been supplying and installing folding partitions in excess of 30 years. Beehive pride themselves on their ability to deliver a quality project on time and to budget. The company is large and stable therefore available for any maintenance, which may be required in the longer term, as well as being agile enough to meet the needs of their customers changing requirements.
