New Proximity Switch launched by Alpro

16 March 2010

Alpro Hardware, a division of IEC Limited, has launched their new PB86 proximity switch.

The Alpro PB86 Proximity Switch is designed to be used in conjunction with the full range of Alpro electric strikes, electric bolts and other general access control products on the market and offers contactless features offering sterile and hygienic operation.

The switch has a proximity distance adjustable from 5-20cms, along with an adjustable relay trigger from 1 to 9 seconds. The switch has easy indication of operation status and can be operated remotely by a small keypad. The switch is suitable for indoor use only.

A simple swipe of the hand operates the switch, ensuring no contact is required. A feature especially important with the onset of MRSA and other infectious bacteria currently prevalent in hospitals and other communal areas.

Alpro Divisional Sales Manager, Keith Parry;

“In line with our ongoing product development and taking full cognisance of the macro environment, we have brought this new proximity switch to the market, to fulfil market requirements. It is competitively priced and along with Alpros' proven track record of service and reliability will prove to be a winner. Once again reinforcing Alpros' commitment to excellence, making us first choice for locking products”.
