The first COM Express type 10 module with 6th Gen Intel Core Series ULT CPUs
Now available from RDS is the ground breaking NanoCOM-SKU from AAEON, this is the first COM Express Type 10 Module with the 6th Gen Intel® Core series ULT CPUs. Traditionally this tiny format module (84 x 55mm) used an SoC instead of a full-fledged processor due to the limited area.
However, the new NanoCOM product line greatly improves on that with a Core I7-6600U CPU, along with a maximum of 4GB of on-board DDR4 memory. All this power and only 18W of power required even when fully loaded. There is a range of other CPU’s and RAM options available.
The NanoCOM has an exceptional level of performance but still retains the compactness of the form factor. The module is stated to eliminate the bottlenecks commonly found in Atom™ or other equivalent SoC-powered modules, especially when applied on performance-demanding applications.
Typical applications include graphics-intensive medical equipment or digital signage, high-loading robotics and automation controllers used in industrial automation. The size and performance ratio of the NanoCOM modules are remarkable bringing top level processing power into a tiny space, making the impossible possible.
