Yes, indeed it does really happen!!
Had a local customer wishing to buy a small safe, nothing real hard about that, however, like many of her generation, using an I pad and buying on line can be challenging at best. Timeline for delivery, as her order arrived with me at 2.30pm, I suggested, was probably going to be 48 hours, however, I was lucky enough to receive the safe from supplier, at 9.30am the following day. Upon receipt, I called the customer to book in its installation for the following morning.
Now, as we get older, we don’t want to be scrabbling on the floor to open a safe, so the safe was installed in a suitable, built in wardrobe on a shelf. But, in order to ensure the shelf was suitable, I’d created a solid wood bracer, to solidify the shelf and wardrobe and make it a tough job to remove it. The safe was then bolt fixed to the bracer with a dual tool bolt. When completed, even the head of the bolt was hidden in the bracer bar.
Service
Having installed the safe, cleaned up where required and shifted all my tools away, came the instruction and programming of the safe. Most installers in this game would in all probability have just left her instructions and vanished! However not me!! I was happy to guide the customer in how to open, close and programme in a sensitive manner to which was fully understood.
I’d been at the lady’s house from start to finish in a little under 2 hours. Yes, I could have done the job quicker, but, regardless, the customer comes first!
