The glitz and the glamour may dominate on the night of British Hairdressing Awards, but another element of success soon emerges - that behind every winner is a strong business supporting their talent and creativity.
And behind more than half of this year’s winning salons is Shortcuts, the biggest hairdressing software provider in the world.Five of the nine regional and four of the seven specialist winners are from salons that use Shortcuts to run their successful businesses. No other software company can boast so many winners.
British Hairdresser of the Year for the second year running Akin Konizi and his salon group, HOB, have been using Shortcuts for nearly seven years. HOB won an outstanding three BHA awards: British, Creative Team and London.
“Your software makes my life so much easier and has transformed HOB into a much better company than it was six-and-a-half years ago when we put the first system into our Loughton salon,” said David Twyman, financial controller of HOB, the morning after the HOB hat-trick. “I made the right decision all those years ago.”
