Water Hygiene Specialists Recommend TME Thermometers for Legionella Monitoring
Water hysgiene specialist incrasingly recommen TME as their number on supplier of thermometers for legionella monitoring.
Worthing-based thermometer manufacturers, TM Electronics, are UK experts in the manufacture of water temperature kits for the prevention of Legionnaires’ disease. The company’s accurate, robust thermometers and probes are increasingly in high demand for water hygiene monitoring, facilities management and HVAC. MD, Toms Sensier, explains the thinking behind his company’s success. “Having launched the first UK Legionnaires’ kit back in2006, TME has consistently extended its range to meet the growing demand from water companies and facilities managers responsible for legionella risk management.
We now offer standard equipment to suit all budgets − from handy waterproof kits for engineers on the move to paperless Barcode scanning thermometers which can record the unique location/identity of every water outlet in a building.”
TME’s design and manufacturing expertise has also been used to develop new labour-saving methods for companies faced with the mammoth task of undertaking the many thousands of tests that are carried out every year to comply with ACOP L8 Health and Safety Legislation. “Our development of a Dual Purpose Surface/Immersion probe has streamlined the task of temperature testing out in the field.
The KS01-S is now one of our best-selling probes, due to its clever construction which allows the probe to be used for both surface measurements and running water - no need to switch from one probe to another, saving time and money.”
At the sharp end of this task, are water hygiene specialists, Britewater Ltd. This Wrexham-based company has been providing legionella management and risk assessment to universities, companies and government bodies since 1991.
Field Manager, Phil Moore is so impressed, he is gradually re-equipping all of his Field Support Team with the TME range. ‘These are the best thermometers we’ve ever used’ says Phil. ‘We’ve had problems with reliability with our previous thermometers but the MM2000s are brilliant.’ Phil is equally impressed with TME’s dual surface/immersion probe. ‘The KS01-S has halved our time on site as you don’t have to keep swapping the probes around for water and pipes/calorifiers.’
