Successful Week for Weiss Gallenkamp at ACHEMA 2012

Weiss Gallenkamp enjoyed a successful week at ACHEMA 2012, exhibiting their market-leading Fitotron® SGC 120 Plant Growth Chamber with LED Research and Production lighting.

Co-exhibiting with their sister companies, Weiss Umwelttechnik and Votsch Industrietechnik, ACHEMA 2012 ran from 18 to 22 June 2012 at the exhibition grounds of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Germany and was the 30th ACHEMA exhibition to be held thus far.

ACHEMA is the world forum of the process industry and the technology summit for chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology. ACHEMA is the leading international meeting point for decision-makers and experts from all related industries. Over 167,000 international participants attended ACHEMA 2012, with 3773 industries exhibiting across the five days.

The Fitotron® SGC 120 Plant Growth Chamber received a huge amount of interest, with a high number of visitors particularly keen to find out about the advantages of using LED lighting for plant research and plant production.

The Fitotron® SGC 120 Plant Growth Chamber was filled with Thuja Smaragd, demonstrating throughout the week how effectively the plants grew under LED lighting conditions. In addition to Thuja Smaragd inside the SGC 120, visitors were also able to take one of the plants away in a corporate gift bag, for plantation wherever they wanted! The plants proved to be extremely popular.

Weiss Gallenkamp also took the opportunity to meet with it’s global sales and distribution network at ACHEMA 2012, speak to existing customers about their pioneering research areas and chat to a number of bioscience students − the plant growth researchers of tomorrow, about the latest plant growth trends.
