TruckStop offers Solution for Waste Management site in London

A new Integrated Waste Management Facility has been built in Southwark and is operated by Veolia Environmental Services as part of their 25 year PFI contract.

The facility will reduce the impact that waste has on the environment and increase the amount of recycling in the Borough reducing the need for landfill.

The facility will provide a long-term solution to their waste management and recycling needs giving both environmental and financial benefits.

Veolia approached Rediweld to offer a solution to protect walkways and to make sure the waste vehicles and HGV’s park safely within the designated bays.

Rediweld’s products are produced from recycled truck tyres so are environmentally friendly, are manufactured using low energy processes and offer an alternative solution to traditional materials.

Rediweld was able to offer their new TruckStop which would easily absorb any impact as the vehicles reversed into the bay. The product is surface mounted so requires no excavation and is quick and easy to install with minimum disruption.

The TruckStop is 150mm high, 300mm wide and 1 metre in length and can be manually handled without the need for lifting gear.

Following the success of the TruckStop within the facility, Rediweld has also been able to offer the CarStop as a solution for the staff car park which is 80mm high, 140mm wide and 1 metre long.
TruckStop is part of our Vehicle Stopper range made in the UK by Rediweld an ISO9100 company.
