New ATEX approved radiation survey meter from VEGA

New Radiation Survey Meter

With the majority of radiometric or nucleonic gauging systems used in the petrochemical, oil, gas and refining industries, this survey meter now available from VEGA is ATEX approved and ideal for commissioning and monitoring nucleonic devices in hazardous areas. It can measure alpha, beta and gamma radiation levels are within prescribed limits, check level inside a vessel and the radiation source activity.

The unit features a large area GM count tube and compensation system for extremely accurate measurement, LCD digital/analogue multi-parameter display of dose rate, dose, mean and maximum value of dose rate with programmable alarms thresholds. The waterproof housing is die-cast aluminium with over 1000 hrs life on a 9V battery. Approval: ATEX II 2 G EEx ib m IIC T4 (Zone 1 gas group IIC).

VEGA offer a full range of radiometric/nucleonic level, interface, density and weighing systems, ‘source life extending’ retrofits for existing installations, training, maintenance contracts and source disposal services.
