Innovative Heat Measurement Solutions

Heat meters are designed to meet the needs of measurement in heating, hot water, cooling and chilled water applications by calculating the volume and temperature differential of circulated water. Bell Flow Systems a leading supplier of flow meters offer a selection of innovative heat meters suitable for a variety of heat applications.

The new VuHeat range of heat meters are the latest addition to Bell Flow Systems, they benefit from ultrasonic technology, with no moving parts these meters are far more durable than those with mechanical counters. VuHeat heat meters meet MID Class 2, are battery powered and have M-Bus output as standard for remote datalogging. Suitable for temperatures up to +90°C and available in sizes ¾” up to 4”, VuHeat heat meters are well suited to monitoring and recording heat consumption in small bore pipes as well as larger pipe sizes such as those found in commercial properties and industrial heating systems.

With a height of just 54mm Minol’s C5 IUF heat meter is specially designed to measure and record heat energy in domestic and small bore pipe heating systems and can be installed in confined spaces. The C5 IUF meets MID Class 2 in any orientation and does not require any straight lengths of pipe. The static ultrasonic technology is resistant to debris, stable over the long service life, unlike other heat meters the C5 IUF can handle temperatures up to +130°C and reliable on low volume flows. The memory holds device and consumption data for the last 24 months which can be interrogated at the touch of a button and M-Bus outputs can be used for remote monitoring.

If conducting energy audits in the field, the DXN portable ultrasonic flow meter from Dynasonics is an indispensable tool. Simple to install by clamping the non-invasive sensors onto the outside of the pipe and easy to use with the industry’s only advanced touch-screen interface. With a long battery life, the datalogger can be left in-situ for a period of time and collected data can be viewed and interpreted with the free software provided.

By focusing on value, technology and understanding, Bell Flow Systems can provide the right heat meter suitable for a variety of applications. If would like some assistance in selecting the right heat please call 01280 817304 or visit www.bellflowsystems.co.uk.
