Metering High Temperature Fluids

Bunker C or No6 fuel oil is used to power ships engines but to allow it to be pumped and burned efficiently it needs to be heated often reaching temperatures in excess of 130°C. In these applications MX-Series high temperature models rated to 150°C are used which with their all 316 stainless steel construction are ideally suited to harsh marine conditions. Their simple rugged construction also makes MX-Series meters resistant to the effects of vibration often found on vessels which can damage other flow measurement technologies.
