Terrabound and Addset resin bound surfacing for new housing development
Addagrip approved contractor Nottingham Industrial Flooring has been working on the David Wilson Homes project in Derwenthorpe for the last 3 years. This long term project has seen NIFL installing over 7000 sqm of Resin Bound Addaset and Terrabound porous surfacing on the driveways, paths and access roads over phase 1 and phase 2 of this residential housing scheme in York.A model community project build, in partnership with Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust and David Wilson Homes, this community of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes offers a variety of housing opportunities including shared ownership, fully owner-occupied and rented homes.
When complete, the village will be set in 18 acres of parkland, with ponds, mature and newly planted trees, cycle paths, and wildlife conservation areas. The layout is also designed to be pedestrian-friendly, with wide footpaths and ‘home zones’ giving people priority over cars.
Addaset and Terrabound BBA approved Resin Bound surfacing was the perfect choice for these pedestrian orientated walkways, providing a decorative, low maintenance and robust paving solution for the 540 home scheme with a natural aggregate finish to complete the rural feel of this new environment.
