Häfele Introduces Waste Boss Duo Pull Out Bin

Furniture fittings and architectural hardware specialist Häfele has introduced the Waste Boss Duo Pull Out Bin to its extensive range of kitchen waste solutions.

Cleverly designed to fully integrate into kitchen cabinets, this 64L capacity bin is a discreet solution which makes sorting and concealing kitchen waste easier.

Complete with a strong supporting metal frame and lid, the Waste Boss Duo can be secured to the cabinet floor and incorporates its own over extension runners of a load capacity of 25kg. Its two, large 32 litre capacity bins both have two pull-up handles to make removing them easier.

Adeline Baker, Product Manager of Häfele UK comments: “The importance of recycling has been pushed back into the headlines in recent weeks and we know that homeowners are also becoming more environmentally conscious than ever. However, recent research we commissioned showed that just 35% of UK households are recycling everything correctly, suggesting that there’s still some way to go when it comes to translating these good intentions into action.

“So it’s no surprise that products which make the recycling process easier, such as integrated, compartmentalised bins, are becoming more and more desirable.”

She adds: “Another major advantage of integrated bins is that they free-up floor space, which is particularly important as Britain’s homes continue to get smaller, leaving kitchen space at a premium.”

The popularity of the integrated bin has soared in recent years, with numbers out of the Häfele dispatch warehouse almost doubling since 2012. And the trend looks set to continue; The Houzz 2018 Kitchen Trend report revealed that pull-out waste or recycling cabinets was one of the top 3 most commonly- installed cabinet storage types, chosen by 49% of respondents.
