Heason Technology welcomes three new members to the Sales Team

Heason Technology continues to strengthen our customer-focused motion systems integration expertise with the appointment of three new members to the sales team.

Ian Bassett and John Hawthorn join as Business Development Managers for the north and south sales regions, with Chris Roper joining as Internal Sales Engineer. They join the existing sales team of UK & EU Sales Manager Ash Chury and Sales Desk Administrator Eve Hanford.

Following previous positions with Bosch Rexroth, Schneider Electric, Lenze, Rockwell, ABB and B&R, Ian Bassett originally worked for Heason Technology back in 1999 as an external sales engineer. 20 years later and he’s back at Heason once again.

Ian comments, “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to work with the new Heason team, with new offices, new people and some great new products to meet our customers’ expectations.

Heason Technology offer a complete range of automation products, from linear stages and rotary actuators to slip rings and ball screws − something for everybody! I’m looking forward to introducing myself to all of our customers within the next few months and hopefully working on some new motion-based projects and applications.”

Ian Bassett will be looking after customers in our southern sales regions, with John Hawthorn taking on the north.

After a formal Engineering apprenticeship, John Hawthorn worked for some major players in the power transmission industry including Vacon Drives, Teco Electric, Brook Crompton and ABB/Baldor.

John comments, “With my engineering background in industrial motors, gearboxes and inverters, this is a natural next step for me to join a well-respected, progressive motion control team at Heason Technology.

I am looking forward to meeting existing and new customers, developing application solutions; from individual components to complete motion applications. Working in the field I will be able to meet customers face to face and discuss applications from first enquiry through to delivery and after sales support.”

Chris Roper has joined Heason Technology to help support the external sales team in maintaining and developing key relationships with our existing and new customers.

With a background in design and production engineering, as well as working in the motion control industry for a number of years, Chris’s experience covers precision gear systems and linear and rotary servo control. Chris also has a wide range of experience in real world applications covering medical, robotics, print packaging and military applications.
