Newton Waterproofing Adds BBA Certified Damp Proof Membrane To Product Portfolio.

Newton 802-DPM is the newest addition to Newton Waterproofing System’s comprehensive range of damp proofing and waterproofing products.

BBA certified and 100% recycled, Newton 802-DPM is a loose-laid, low density polyethylene damp proof membrane for use in projects below concrete floors or screeds where no groundwater pressure is expected. The new damp proof membrane sits within Newton’s Damp Proofing System, which now contains a broad range of products that can be combined differently depending on the scenario.

Newton 802-DPM can be sealed with Newton 809-DPC, a damp-proof course, to extend the damp proof membrane through spine and exterior walls. The damp proof membrane is also compatible with all commonly used building materials. For jointing, and to ensure the continuation of DPM, Newton Waterproofing provide a range of accessories, including Newton Waterseal Tape and Overtape and Newton Pipe Collar, Joist Liner and Pipe Sleeve.

Durable and Puncture Resistant

Newton 802-DPM is suitable for applications within both domestic and commercial properties as it is flexible even at the lowest temperatures and resistant to ageing and cracking. The damp proof membrane is a barrier between capillary-held moisture and vapour, in accordance with clause 11 of CP 102:1973, ensuring the concrete floor finishes are dry and suitable for use below heavy-duty rafts and steel reinforced slabs.

From suspended concrete floors and ground-bearing concrete floors to beam and block floors, Newton 802-DPM is suitable for more common floor construction. With high water vapour resistance and good resistance to elongation and tearing, the damp proof membrane is ideal for damp proofing floors. Newton 802-DPM is 1200 gauge (4m x 25m) making it suitable for almost all damp proofing installations.
