IPAF MEWP OPERATORS TRAINING COURSE The aim of the course:- To instruct an operator to prepare & safely operate various types of MEWP & ob-tain an IPAF MEWP licence Objective − At the end of the course the operator will be aware of the relevant Health & Safety Regulations, accident prevention & control regarding personnel protection & the need to refer to the machine Operating Manual. He will also be able to drive the MEWP safely as required. Introduction - Facilities Pal Card overview & pre course theory test Regulations & Guidance MEWP Categories Structural parts Pre Use Inspection/Handovers Safe Operating Methods & Hazards Theory Test Practical Training Practical Assessment Licence Renewal Course Evaluation Each candidate requires a safety helmet, boots and any necessary Protective Equipment for the practical section. Course duration − minimum 7 hours - start time 07:45am prompt. If training is carried out on site, a suitable room and area would be required for the theory and practical section. A home address including post code and date of birth is required of each delegate. The course can cover articulated, scissor, trailer mounted or telescopic type work platform.
