Laser Castle Lite - the low-cost laser safety cabin

The Laser Castle Lite laser safety cabin is a low-cost, modular, laser enclosure that enables easy-build by the customer.

It keeps workers safe by preventing the escape of laser radiation when in operation. The system includes a manually operated door, safety interlock switches, dual-message LED warning sign, Emergency Stop break glass, keyswitch, internal Emergency stop button and entry door maglock − all linked to the ICS-Solo Interlock® Controller.

The Laser Castle Lite is built from the same laser blocking material as the current Laser Castle and to enable low cost ventilation it has an open roof void. It can be easily built on site straight out of the box. The cabin is the ideal enclosure for preventing unintended exposure of laser radiation to nearby co-workers.

The enclosure panels are certified to the laser safety standard BS EN IEC 60825-4 and the cabin is fully interlocked so that the laser cannot be enabled until the door is closed. The cabin is ideal for hand-held laser welders as well as laser welding robots. The standard cabin measures 3 x 3 x 2.4m. See how to build the Laser Castle Lite
