Our Different Types of Living Screens

Hedging Screens
Our hedging screens are grown on galvanised steel frames using several plants in each trough to create full coverage of the framework. They are lightweight, simple and easy to install and make cost-effective, low maintenance, sustainable fences. Living screens have grown in popularity for both commercial applications and residential alike. We offer a range of species including Ivy, Photinia, Star Jasmine

Pleached Trees
Pleached trees have a unique style that adds both impressive elegance and character to a garden space. Not only do they look stylish, but they also act as a privacy screen and create garden shade.
Pleached is the name given to trees that have a very straight clear stem and a narrow framework of stunning branches trained onto canes. The technique has been around for centuries and was traditionally a feature in more formal gardens; however, they’re still equally as popular today for a variety of garden types and styles. Our Beech variety was recently featured in a Show Garden at the Gardeners’ World Live Show.

Trellis Grown Screening
We have recently introduced a brand new range of trellis grown screens which are great value and ideal for small spaces. Lying somewhere between our hedging screens and pleached trees, our trellis grown screening can be a great alternative if you're wanting to mix and match the features of both of these. Trellis grown Screening is grown on a framework in a similar way to pleached trees, but with foliage cover all the way from the ground level like Hedging Screens or Trough Grown Instant Hedging.

Trough Grown Instant Hedging
An instant hedge is an environmentally-friendly, speedy solution for privacy and garden screening and ideal to define a boundary as an alternative to traditional fencing. All of our instant hedging units are expertly grown and nurtured over a number of years to produce a beautiful, mature and ready-clipped, instant hedge look, immediately on planting. This form of hedging can be easily transferred from the trough or bag straight into the ground. The hedging units quickly knit together, blending seamlessly in a very short period of time, giving the impression that the hedge has been in situ for years.
