Weidmüller M12 connection technology for Industrial Ethernet

Weidmüller is pleased to announce that it is expanding its portfolio of M12 Profinet cord sets.

Weidmüller now also offers over-molded female M12 connectors, over-molded angled connectors and RJ45 connectors − both in IP20 and IP67. Both Industrial Type B or Type C Profinet cables and Railway cable are available as standard. The cables are available in lengths of 1.5, 3, 5 and 10 meters as standard catalogue items.

Also available is a cut to length service for fast production of bespoke length cables to meet individual customer requirements. In the machine building segment Industrial Ethernet (IE) is now a mature technology with the potential to compete with established field bus systems. On the field level M12 is the most wide-spread connection technology. Users are very familiar with this connecting technology now including Industrial Ethernet applications.

Weidmüller offers for field level applications a comprehensive M12 D-coded portfolio. Stretching from managed / unmanaged switches, M12 patch cords in different versions to connectors for field-assembly, adapters M12-RJ45 and PCB connecting elements.
