Universeal UK launches range of recycled plastic security seals

As a business, we take our responsibility as a sustainable manufacturer seriously, and have worked with our supply chain to procure and manufacture our security seals using more sustainable grades of plastic wherever possible.

Beginning late 2023, Universeal UK now manufactures and stocks many popular security seals with a minimum of 30% recycled plastic, reducing our carbon footprint and contributing towards a more sustainable and circular economy.

Security seals are used widely in logistics, retail, medical and other sectors to ensure chain of custody and reduce the risk of tampering within supply chains. Our recycled content plastic seals are now available in select colours of Uniflag, UniStrap 412, UniTite 413 and DoubleLock security seals. They are available from our UK warehouse pre-marked with security numbering as standard:

We are also able to produce recycled content plastic seals to your specific custom requirement, including in your preferred choice of colour, with bespoke logo and barcode prints.

Our recycled plastic security seals have undergone independent testing to ensure that they perform to the same specification as our virgin plastic seals in terms of strength, flexibility and durability.

All recycled plastic security seals will be manufactured with a minimum of 30% recycled content, ensuring that security seals are exempt from the UK Plastic Packaging Tax, enabling us to pass on tax savings to our customers.
