Birmingham school ball park gets net enclosure
A newly erected netted fence enclosure has given children the freedom to participate in sports activities at a Birmingham school.
Foresport Fencing recently undertook the design and installation of a new enclosed netted ball park area at a school in Birmingham. The tarmac area was fully exposed and Foresport Fencing were tasked to come up with an enclosure that not only maintained all balls but was also security conscious.Traditionally ball courts are rectangular but in this case the court had 5 straight sides and an oval 6th side. Years of foliage growth also meant the removal of a number of small bushes. Foresport designed and installed a fully functional 3.5m high netted enclosure complete with lockable gates and roof net.
The bottom 1.2m had a security fence fixed around the perimeter with the remaining 2.3m high finished in ball stop netting. To prevent balls leaving the area a roof net was also fixed. A 3m wide double lockable gate was set at the front. The school have been very pleased with the new installation and has meant that the play area can now be utilised to its full potential.
