Grahame Gardner Care in the South Birmingham Community.
Acceptance to the NHS Framework continues to pay dividends for Grahame Gardner Ltd who have recently scooped a contract for the Community Nursing Team for South Birmingham Primary Care Trust.
This large contract will see the uniform manufacturer providing uniforms and outerwear for 200 Community Nurses working in South Birmingham. The Community Nursing Team approached Grahame Gardner after seeing their uniforms on staff at the West Heath and Mosley Hall Hospital, which falls under the same Directorate.Community Nursing Team Manager Christine Thompson;
“After seeing how good the uniforms at the hospital looked we called Grahame Gardner who brought in a range of uniforms for our team to look at. This gave our team the opportunity to come in to see the uniforms, try them on and feel the quality. Over 50% of the staff came in and all gave the uniform the thumbs up.”
The Community team are part of the adults and Communities Division, however as healthcare professionals they opted to mirror the existing styles used by the Hospital based staff, they also selected the same colours for identifying grades. This consistent approach will provide patients and the general public the comfort of easily identifying Community Team members.
As part of the comprehensive uniform implementation service Grahame Gardner sent a measuring team to the Trust headquarters to collate the measurements for all 200 staff. Warmth and comfort are essential to the Community Nurses who are out and about visiting patients throughout the day. Consequently the team are not only receiving tunics, trousers and dresses, but also fleeces and coats from Grahame Gardner’s extensive outerwear collection. These have been ordered in the Trust colours.
