Telling Earth’s Oldest Stories in Stone

We helped bring 185 million years of natural history to life with a striking installation on the Jurassic Coast (England’s only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site). Designed to inspire exploration and to withstand the elements, the project has transformed Exmouth’s coastal landscape into an immersive, educational experience.

Sculptural Storytelling

In collaboration with Bright 3D Design Agency, we created bold interpretive features that harmonise with the rugged landscape. A dramatic ring of custom-cut, arched stone monoliths was sandblast-etched and enamel-filled to stay sharp and resilient in the coastal air, inviting visitors to engage with the site's rich geological story.

Interactive Design

The installation includes a series of angled stone panels with QR-coded content for deeper digital discovery, and handcrafted green oak benches offering places for rest and reflection. Every element from stone to timber was carefully chosen to enhance the natural environment and invite tactile interactions.

A Lasting Legacy in Stone

The installation stands as a living tribute to the Jurassic Coast, connecting all ages to the timeline, stories, and natural beauty beneath their feet. The success of the project is its enduring design and exquisite craftsmanship that harmonise with the landscape and will inspire generations to come.
