Acoustic Enclosure for Small Condenser Units – Kensington & Chelsea

Sound Planning were commissioned to supply and install small condenser acoustic enclosure for a Fujitsu unit in Kensington & Chelsea. The customer requested a solution that would provide environmental protection and effective noise control to maintain optimal airflow.

For efficient ventilation, the enclosure has been designed and equipped with removable louvered panels for easy maintenance access.

To separate inlet and outlet air, there been installed an internal septum fire rated foam which improved acoustic performance.

A site survey was performed by Sound Planning team, confirming access via a small window to the flat roof, and supplied the enclosure in galvanised steel with a RAL 7024 “Graphite Grey” polyester powder coat finish.

The result was a high performance enclosure with up to 13 dB(A) sound reduction and delivering durable, serviceable protection for the condenser unit.
