ABVM Wi-Fi WRAS Approved Smart Ball Valve

Connexion Developments Ltd is preparing the launch of its ABVM WiFi WRAS Approved Actuated Ball Valve, combining certified potable-water compliance with smart Wi-Fi control. Designed for residential, commercial, and light-industrial applications, the valve offers remote operation via app, scheduling, power-failure memory, and robust stainless-steel construction, delivering reliable, modern water-control technology.

Connexion Developments Ltd is pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of the ABVM Wi-Fi WRAS Approved Actuated Ball Valve, a smart valve solution designed to combine certified drinking-water compliance with modern connectivity and robust industrial engineering.

Developed to meet the growing demand for intelligent water control, the ABVM Wi-Fi valve offers remote operation, automation, and monitoring via the widely adopted Smart Life App, while retaining the mechanical integrity expected of a WRAS approved valve assembly. The result is a product equally suited to residential, commercial, and light-industrial water management applications.

At the core of the design is a WRAS approved stainless steel ball valve, fully certified for potable water use within the UK. The valve body is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, with PTFE and EPDM sealing as standard, ensuring long service life and media compatibility across a wide temperature range from -15°C to +90°C. Working pressure is rated up to 10 bar, covering many building-services and utility requirements.

The electric actuator is Wi-Fi enabled and controlled entirely through the Smart Life platform on iOS and Android devices. Users can open or close the valve remotely, view valve position at a glance via the integrated visual position indicator and configure timed or scheduled operations for routine control.

A power-failure memory function allows the valve to return automatically to a predefined safe position once power is restored, enhancing system resilience and leak-prevention strategies.

Installation and commissioning have been deliberately simplified. Pairing is completed in minutes via standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with no additional gateways required. Once connected, valve position can be set between 0–100% in defined steps, enabling precise flow management where required.

The ABVM Wi-Fi valve is available in ¼", ⅜", ½", ¾", and 1" BSP sizes (NPT optional) and is rated IP67, allowing use in demanding environments. With a tested cycle life exceeding 70,000 operations, the unit is engineered for reliability as well as convenience.

Scheduled for launch in early 2026, the ABVM Wi-Fi WRAS Smart Ball Valve reflects Connexion Developments’ continued commitment to certified quality, practical innovation, and attention to detail in fluid-control technology.
