Updates to Qualsafe First Aid Training in Line with 2025 RCUK Guidelines

As of the 2nd of February 2026, changes have been made to our Qualsafe First Aid courses in line with the 2025 Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.

These updates apply to both our First Aid at Work course and Emergency First Aid at Work. Here at Evolve we want to ensure that our training aligns with the latest nationally recognised practice so that our delegates are getting the best training possible.

Key updates to the courses include:

• CPR Procedures
• Management of an unconscious casualty
• Baby and infant choking
• Use of jaw thrust technique

While the fundamental principles of first aid remain the same, the updated guidance reflects improvements in how first aid is taught and applied in emergency situations.

In response to these changes, here at Evolve Training we will now be offering a half-day First Aid at Work Refresher course for individuals who have recently completed their First Aid at Work qualification. This refresher course is designed to cover the updates introduced under the 2025 Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, allowing learners to remain compliant and confident without having to repeat the entire course.

The half-day refresher provides a focused overview of the updated content, offering a practical and time-efficient solution for both employers and individuals.
