UK MoD awards six-year single-source contract to Rubb Buildings Ltd

North East manufacturer Rubb Buildings Ltd has been awarded a six‑year single‑source contract by the UK Ministry of Defence, extending the company’s ongoing support to the RAF’s deployable infrastructure and operations.

Under the renewal, Rubb will continue to provide spares, repairs, refurbishments, training, and technical support across its deployable solutions in service with the RAF. This includes through‑life support for the 30m EFASS deployable RPAS hangar, strengthening availability and readiness across RAF applications.

Ready for action

The contract will be fulfilled from Rubb’s Gateshead facility, sustaining skilled employment in the region and ongoing collaboration with local suppliers across the Northern supply chain.

To deliver the programme, Military Project Lead Bryan Davis will oversee planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance across equipment and services.

“Our focus is readiness,” said Bryan Davis. “We will work closely with the MoD to keep assets available, extend service life, and enhance capability through responsive support, planned maintenance, and upgrades.”

Rubb has supplied deployable structures to the UK Armed Forces for decades, supporting operations at home and overseas. Today’s renewal underscores that long‑standing partnership and Rubb’s ongoing role in delivering dependable infrastructure for demanding environments.
