Heald Launches Dedicated Servicing and Maintenance Division, HealdProtect, to Bolster Perimeter Security and Maximise HVM Longevity

Heald, a global leader with over 30 years of experience in the hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) products industry, has announced the launch of a new, dedicated servicing and maintenance division, HealdProtect.

The new division specialises in providing exceptional service and maintenance solutions for a wide range of perimeter security solutions, including but not limited to Heald's industry-leading products.

HealdProtect is committed to ensuring organisations maintain their "protective stand-off" at all times and guarantees comprehensive, round-the-clock support with 24/7 call-out facilities. The division's core objective is to maximise product longevity and ensure a site remains secure throughout the year. Services are delivered by a talented, highly skilled team of qualified engineers, backed by Heald and its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) factory support.

The launch coincides with the appointment of Jon Trott as Managing Director of HealdProtect. Trott brings over 15 years of expertise in the perimeter security industry, having previously managed Cova Security Gates prior to its acquisition by CLD Physical Systems.

HealdProtect is further supported by Debbie Heald MBE, co-owner and Managing Director of Heald Ltd, whose deep knowledge of Heald products and leadership ensures the company remains at the forefront of security solutions.

Additionally, Jon and Debbie both serve as Directors of the Protective Security Suppliers Association (PSSA), and play a crucial role helping to shape the future of the physical security landscape, ensuring that HealdProtect adheres to the highest industry standards and best practices.

Offering custom-tailored packages, HealdProtect’s services will include essential safety checks, detailed service reports, and continuous technical support, in particular as legislation such as the introduction of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill ('Martyn's Law' ‘Protect Duty’) begins to take effect. The company provides service and maintenance to meet the needs of both small businesses and blue-chip organisations, safeguarding high-profile locations.

HealdProtect's maintenance services are underpinned by compliance with ISO/TS0004:2018 Quality Management System Guidelines. Furthermore, the company prides itself on rapid response times and has independently verified customer service standards, having been granted a Platinum Award by Customer Surveys Ltd.

Commenting on the launch of HealdProtect, Debbie Heald MBE said; “I am thrilled to be working with Jon on this new venture and further support our customers with this dedicated service for not only Heald products but others too.

Heald is passionate about providing quality service and maintenance, ensuring our systems are maintained to the very highest of standards. Our engineers undertake years of training to ensure they have the skills to service all products in the field, maintaining optimum performance and longevity.

Seeing this transfer into a dedicated service in the form of HealdProtect is an exciting time for us.”

Managing Director, Jon Trott, added; I’m delighted to join Debbie Heald MBE and the team in launching HealdProtect. We are focused on providing comprehensive support for our clients’ physical security, offering a full range of services from regular maintenance to emergency repairs.

As the Protect Duty legislation evolves, we’re also preparing to adapt our services to help clients stay compliant and secure. While our primary focus is on delivering reliable service today, we’re committed to expanding our offer, ensuring our clients are fully supported throughout this transition.”
