Filon Relaunches Innovative Roofing Solution as ConSeal Valley

Patented dry-fix system delivers a premium stitched-valley look with zero leaks in independent BRE testing.

BURNTWOOD, UK – Filon has officially rebranded one of its most clever roofing products to make its benefits clearer to contractors and specifiers. The product, previously known as Heritage Valley, has been renamed ConSeal Valley. While the original name suggested it was strictly for historic renovations, ConSeal Valley is a modern, high-performance solution for contemporary builds wanting a premium, traditional aesthetic. The unique, patented dry-fix trough sits completely hidden beneath the roof covering, allowing tiles or slates to meet tightly along the centre line for a classic, highly sought-after "stitched-valley" look without the traditional installation headaches.

Key Benefits:Material & Time Savings: Eliminates the need for expensive lead soakers and custom valley tiles entirely.  Patented 'S' Design: Creates a narrow span for secure tile support while maintaining wide, high-capacity drainage channels beneath the surface. This minimizes tile cutting and material waste.  Zero Mortar, Zero Call-backs: The entirely dry-fix installation ensures faster fit times and removes the risk of weather failure or mortar cracking.  Universal Compatibility: A true multi-use product that works seamlessly with natural or man-made slate, clay, and concrete plain or flat tiles.

"The original name did the product a bit of a disservice," adds Mark Wilcox, Filon’s Managing Director. "ConSeal Valley tells contractors exactly what they’re getting: a traditional, premium aesthetic delivered through smart, modern engineering that saves serious time and money on-site."

 Proven Performance

The system has already proven its practical value on a residential project in Chepstow, where it successfully resolved a water ingress issue on a stone-tiled roof while allowing the contractor to reuse the existing tiles to keep costs down.

To validate its durability in extreme weather, the system underwent rigorous independent testing at the BRE facility in Watford. Subjected to wind-driven rain and a heavy deluge simulating a 1-in-50-year storm event in Northern Europe, the ConSeal Valley achieved zero leakage or failure.

ConSeal Valley solves a familiar roofing challenge, giving contractors a proven, cost-effective route to a premium closed-valley finish without the traditional time and complexity.
