Shropshire-based specialist furniture manufacturer Tough Furniture has announced the launch of Poli™, a new range of secure media protection cabinets. Poli protects televisions and AV equipment from damage and tampering in demanding, high-traffic environments - without looking or feeling like protective furniture. Softened edges, a contemporary finish and a calm, considered aesthetic make the range kind to both the eye and the user, while delivering the robustness the environment demands.

Designed for challenging environments

For more than 30 years, Tough Furniture has designed and manufactured specialist furniture for mental health services, learning disability and autism settings, supported living environments and secure care facilities across the UK.

The launch of Poli™ continues that focus, responding to a challenge frequently raised by healthcare providers: how to protect televisions from damage without introducing products that feel institutional.

Rather than treating every room as if it has the same requirements, Poli™ provides a coordinated family of secure media protection cabinets that allows each space to be specified according to its individual needs while maintaining visual consistency throughout an entire facility.

The launch comprises five models across wall-mounted and floor-standing formats, offering solutions ranging from straightforward screen protection through to advanced profiles that help reduce climbing opportunity and limit usable horizontal surfaces. This enables specifiers to select the most appropriate cabinet for each environment without compromising the overall character of the building.

Designed to belong

At the heart of the range are two simple design principles: creating products that are kind to the user and reducing unnecessary visual noise within the environment.

Softened, radiused edges and corners create a gentler appearance and a more considered user experience, while a contemporary aesthetic removes visual clutter through clean forms, restrained detailing and carefully resolved construction. Visible check joints, unnecessary overhangs and harsh material transitions have been deliberately avoided in favour of a quieter, more integrated appearance.

Rather than announcing itself as secure furniture, Poli™ has been designed to feel integrated into the room - creating media spaces that support calmer, more considered therapeutic environments.

Built around real-world specification

Every Poli™ cabinet shares the same quality of construction, design language and carefully considered detailing while responding to different environmental requirements.

Available in wall-mounted and floor-standing formats, the range includes five coordinated models in sizes from 24" to 55", with eight carefully selected finishes across Neutral, Pastel and Organic collections. Floor-standing variants provide a more familiar, domestic viewing position with integrated media storage, while wall-mounted options offer compact, secure solutions for environments where space efficiency and environmental robustness are priorities.
