Grab-O-Matic is a range of mechanical forklift drum handling attachments, manufactured exclusively by St Clare Engineering at our facility in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We are the sole worldwide manufacturer. There is no other source, no licensed copy, and no equivalent product made anywhere else in the world.The range is entirely mechanical - no electrical connections, no hydraulics. It works on this principle:

• The gripping jaws are held open by springs
• The forklift drives the attachment to the drum
• The drum's own weight closes the jaws automatically
• When the drum is set down the gripping jaws release

Because there are no hydraulic or electrical connections required, Grab-O-Matic attachments fit virtually any forklift truck - regardless of age, brand or specification.

The range covers rim grippers, waist grippers, base grippers, drum rotators, ATEX stainless steel handlers, pedestrian drum handlers, and specialist attachments for whiskey barrels, reels and non-standard drums. Single, double and multi-drum configurations are available.

Every unit is hand-built and proof-load tested at our Hampshire facility, certified to ISO 9001:2015, and issued with CE and UKCA certification as standard. Grab-O-Matic equipment is in daily use in over 35 countries.
