Apple's Biggest Launch Yet

Apple’s latest product launch has delivered one of its biggest surprises in years: the company has finally entered the foldable-phone market, which the team at Tablet Rentals considers to be a big surprise considering the foldable phone has hardly been a huge success for other brands.

At its event on 9th September, Apple unveiled the new iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone and the headline product of this year’s launch. Our Tablet Rentals are so intrigued to get the Duo Phone to test it.

The iPhone Duo opens into a 7.6-inch display while retaining a smaller 5.4-inch outer screen when folded. Designed to combine the portability of an iPhone with the larger workspace of a tablet, it supports features such as multitasking and Apple Pencil input. However, it is a whopping (eye-watering) £1,999.00 and whilst it includes the A20 Pro chip, advanced cooling, dual-screen multitasking, Apple Pencil support, and up to 2TB of storage it is unquestionably the most expensive iPhone Apple has introduced.

Also announced were the iPhone 18 Pro models, starting at £1,199.00, which Apple claim features improved cameras with variable aperture, but this remains to be seen.

Without question, Apple’s latest launch signals a bold new direction. The foldable iPhone is particularly significant, marking the company’s biggest iPhone design change in years and setting the stage for a new chapter in Apple’s product strategy.
