ATCs'' SMD PTC Thermistors for circuit protection

ATC Semitec now supply a range of SMD PTCs for low-cost over-temperature protection of electronic circuits.

The TPM series chip PTCs are available in 0402, 0603 and 0805 size packages and exhibit a step-function change in their resistance at their “switch point”. This makes them easy to incorporate into electronic circuits with various temperature set-points available from 65°C to 135°C.

They are suitable for use up to 32VDC and have UL/c-UL approval. The TPMs effectively function as solid-state thermal switches and provide vital over-temperature protection at very affordable pricing.
