Our Story
We began life in 1976 when Ted Smith, a typewriter engineer, was tired of seeing too many unsteady desks during his work, so he decided to design and build a desk in his garden shed. Over 30 years later, a management buyout saw Ted’s son-in-law, Julian, take over the business, helping Gresham remain independent and family run.
