Mr.Watt (Grumpy Man of Metal) is Jon Mills’ alter ego. As Mills contemplates the potential disasters, disappointments and failures that are an artist’s lot as part of a creative process (and the interface with developers, construction companies and town planners) so he plays out these scenarios in children’s picture book form. With the emphasis strongly on making, Mills fabricates all of the characters and props to suit the stories he writes. Some of the eBooks contain videos of the objects being made, and are used as tools to promote the joy of making in schools.
