In 1992 Ally and his wife Jean formed the family business Marine and Plant Diesel Services, for the construction and Marine industry as the demand for the marine industry grew they decided to concentrate on the Marine side of the business and changed the company name to Marine Diesel Services (Scotland) Ltd in 2000.
Ally had previously worked with Caterpillar equipment in Perth, Scotland and the Middle East as a field service Engineer and Jean with her organisational and customer skills formed the perfect partnership.
Due to popular demand in the marine industry the business soon evolved to what is predominantly servicing, repairing and installing marine engines and is knowingly renowned in the fishing boat industry throughout the UK for their professional services.
