Unlike conventional shade options, shade sails (also known as sail shades, shadesails and even sun sails) are manufactured from heavy duty Rachel-knitted High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which diffuses the sun’s harmful rays. This is a very strong and durable fabric, specifically developed in Australia for outdoor use. Though it offers effective UV protection, it also allows the air to circulate, producing a significantly cooler environment beneath.
