We were honoured by our recognition at the Tekla BIM Awards 2019 for our work on the One Nine Elms’ project in London. We implemented 3D rebar models early on for checking, detail development, and rebar fixing alongside the final 2D drawings. Collaboration improved significantly using Trimble Connect for model viewing and commenting, replacing time-consuming email exchanges with marked up screenshots. Skype meetings focused on the 3D rebar model, allowing early detail development and ensuring buildability of final drawings and bending schedules. We're thrilled that our 10 years of work in 3D rebar detailing and BIM modelling has been recognised, and we look forward to the future of digital engineering in construction.
