Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck / Transportable Truck Mounted Forklift at Wallace Park Royal Centre & client premises
Drivers with a lorry licence can improve their job prospects with a Truck Mounted Forklift Certificate.
Sometimes known as a Moffet Mounty, a Transportable Lift Truck is attached 'Piggy Back' style to the rear of the truck, which can then hitched or un-hitched (mounted/dismounted) from the host vehicle and use the machine to load and unload cargo.
Our training is accredited and approved. When operators obtain their certificate with us we usually issue a certificate with a registration number from RTITB.
New operators, without forklift experience require a 3 day course.
Existing Forklift Operators who convert from a counterbalance or reach to moffett need 2 days.
If you already have moffett experience/certificate this could be reduced to 1 day.

Wallace Drawbar Combination Vehicle Training
After you have passed LGV C (HGV Class 2)
Your examiner will allow you to use an Articulated Vehicle or a Drawbar Combination Vehicle to get your full C+E / Class 1 licence
- No more theory tests to upgrade from C to C+E
- 4 hours per day - 1 to 1 training - just you, your instructor and the training vehicle
- Choice of Length of Course and Pass Protection Package
- On day of test, 2 hours warm-up session and use of vehicle for local test
- Training available from 6am onwards and evening & weekends by arrangement
- No Waiting for Tests, our DVSA Booking Facility means Tests immediately after training

Our Automatic Drawbars are available at all our training locations and our Manual Drawbar at selected locations.

Hiab - Lorry Loader Crane Training
Hiab is a common term for Lorry Loader Crane. Hiab Cargotech is one of several truck mounted crane manufacturers like Atlas, Palfinger, Fassi. By attending Wallace training you will be covered to operate any make of lorry loader crane and most common Hiab attachments.
TRAINING AT CLIENT PREMISES
We suit clients schedule, using your site and equipment, with your attachments. Successful operators are issued with a Certificate and optional photocard which is recognised across the UK.
The number of training days depend on your operators experience. Please phone our office for further advice.
TRAINING AT OUR PARK ROYAL CENTRE
Usually on Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday. Successful operators receive a certificate which is recognised across the UK, and can have optional photocard.

Our training is suitable for:
- Novice operators requiring a 'first time' certificate
- For people with some forklift background but no formal training
- Re-certification and/or conversion courses for existing experienced operators
Experienced operators who have not had the benefit of formal training or where corrective tuition is required, could need more than one day to allow the operator ample time to develop and improve their operating skills under supervision and learn the necessary theoretical knowledge of safe working practices and relevant legislation through classroom sessions supported by training films.
At the end of training operators take a practical test and a simple written theory assessment to ensure confirmation of learning.
If you or your operators have any concerns regarding literacy or language comprehension (or doubts about fitness to operate machinery), please bring them to our attention when booking or when on assessment.
Company sponsored operators certificates will bear the name of the company unless we are advised otherwise.
