The Government has committed to implementing the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) which requires regular inspections of all air conditioning systems, even small split systems, over 12 kW in January 2011.

Do I really need my Air Conditioning System Inspected?

Failure to comply will mean a fine imposed by your Local Trading Standards Officer. If you have any air conditioning system with a total combined cooling capacity of over 12 kW & over 5 Years Old, Or Using Out of Date Refrigerant R22 Gas, you are responsible for their inspection.

What to do next?
