Commercial Alarm Testing

Commercial Alarm Testing

This is equipment, systems, and sensors which automatically detect the presence of a fire or intruder, or can raise an alarm manually by human intervention because someone or something is at risk either from social consequences or anti-social behaviour. Included in this category of equipment that we test are products used for controlling access to buildings, theft prevention, CCTV cameras used specifically for security applications, and electronic devices and modules involved with the transmission of an alarm condition, eg. modems.

IT Equipment Testing

IT Equipment Testing

This is equipment, systems, components and sub-assemblies which use digital techniques for signal processing, computation, display, storage, data processing, switching, control, and telecommunication.

IT applies to many products, audio-visual equipment and multi-media equipment, but some products that do not contain IT may not be subject to the same rules and regulations.

In the last decade, IT has had a phenomenal impact on productivity, education, society and our personal lives and to maintain this development, it is important to make sure that IT equipment is safe to use and characterised according to where it is used.

Most products with IT and Audio-Visual will require EMC and electrical safety testing.
Medical Equipment Testing

Medical Equipment Testing

EMC and Safety testing of medical devices is, understandably, tightly regulated. At Cranage EMC and Safety, we are UKAS accredited (No. 1833) for the main medical testing standards, IEC/EN 60601-1 and IEC/EN 60601-1-2. These standards cover general requirements for basic safety and essential performance, and EMC. Using a UKAS accredited lab for your testing gives manufacturers assurance on accurate, reliable and consistent test procedures and results. We have a vast amount of experience in testing medical devices and previous projects range from prosthetic limbs, to patient monitors and imaging system displays. Environmental Testing

Environmental Testing

Extreme environmental conditions can have a detrimental impact on electronic products and components. Environmental testing is designed to show how your product responds to climatic conditions it may encounter in its lifetime and determine reliability.

Cranage EMC and Safety, based in Shropshire near Birmingham, has an extensive suite of environmental test chambers at our premises. These chambers simulate the majority of environments that your product may be exposed to, either through storage, transport, or operation. We can apply environmental stress parameters to suit worldwide climatic conditions to verify that a product can perform reliably in the intended environment.
We have climatic chambers to cover humidity, RH damp heat, solar radiation, temperature cycling and salt spray.

Don’t leave your product’s reliability to chance. Reach out below to explore our comprehensive environmental testing solutions and ensure your electronics can withstand the toughest conditions they may encounter.
