We often come across box gutters and valleys on conservatories which have been incorrectly formed or not catered for at all. If lead lined, the lead in a box gutter or valley expands and contracts with heat over time and if not fitted correctly this will lead to stress cracks forming in the lead and an entry point through which water will penetrate resulting in a leaky conservatory. We can deal with for you by removing the roof glass that falls into the gutter and/or valleys, re-forming and re-lining them appropriately and then re-fitting the roof glass.

For smaller areas of rotten timber we may be able to splice in new sections of hardwood which once decorated will look as good as new. For larger areas we can fit replacement panels and doors etc which because all our work is bespoke, will match in perfectly with the rest of the existing conservatory.

If your conservatory timbers are generally in good order but the glass roof is looking shabby with the room not warm enough to use in the winter, then why not replace your conservatory roof? You may want to consider using Anti-sun Tinted glass to reduce the glare and UV damage caused by the sun, particularly if your conservatory is South facing and gets alot of sun. Also improving the ventilation in the conservatory by installing roof ventilators will allow heat to escape and air to circulate in the room without the need to always open the windows and doors.
