Communications (Southern) Ltd staff have significant experience (some over 35 years) and trained in this highly specialised field of RF (Radio frequency) Engineering for professional VHF & UHF radio communications (two-way radio) systems including survey, design, supply, installation, maintenance, fault finding & trouble-shooting.

From giving "advice & guidance" or acting as your own technical authority we can provide as little or as much support as YOU require. We can also carry out Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) or Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) duties for a wide range of Telecommunications systems in both Safety Critical & Mission Critical enviroments.

We carry-out independent system evaluations, reviews and audits, as well as frequently providing technical support services to the trade.

Servicing / Repairs / Programming

Repair Service

Our repair technicians have many years’ experience and training on two-way radio systems. Where possible only OEM replacement parts are used on all our repairs. We can offer both contract and adhoc (pay as you go) support.

Maintenance

We offer both planned preventative & reactive maintenance and equipment health checks in the field to all two-way radio systems. All work carried out using our own test equipment’s. We understand that faulty equipment down-time can be a major problem for many radio communication system owners. For this reason our response to reactive call-out is a priority.

Equipment (Re-)Programming

All equipment supplied by us comes fully programmed, should you require equipment to be programmed or re-programmed this can in most case be carried out in-house; but we MUST have a copy of your up to date Ofcom license, or an official letter of authority from the appropriate body, produced prior to starting programming.
