Floor Planing
Floor Planing is an efficient dust free method of reducing, preparing and texturing concrete surfaces. The machines used are either diesel, 110v or 3-phase 415v powered, walk behind or ride on and come in various sizes depending on the project requirements. The planing method is suitable for internal or external applications and will leave a textured clean non- slip surface to traffic upon or suitable for new floor systems to be applied.
Concrete floor planing, cold milling, scabbling and flailing are some of the terms used to describe the methods to achieve the relevelling of concrete, removal of contaminants, coatings, screeds and to provide anti-slip flooring.

Other Products and Services from Castle & Pryor Ltd
Thin Bond Concrete Patch Repair
For Facilities and Companies, concrete hard standings, roads, car parks, workshops, storage areas and any other concrete surfaces are essential assets that are relied upon. But these assets are not immune to the damaging effects that wear and tear can cause. Cracks, potholes and failed joints can quickly develop into serious hazards that compromise safety and efficiency. If these are left unaddressed, these issues can even lead to complete surface failure, potentially requiring expensive full-depth repairs or total bay replacement.
Vac-Ex Excavation
Excavating around live utilities and vital services on a construction project can be a challenging and potentially hazardous task, with traditional excavation methods potentially resulting in serious damage to infrastructure. In the case of a service strike, this could cause massive and costly disruption to a project. However, with the use of vacuum excavation technology, Castle & Pryor is able to provide a safe and efficient solution, perfect for smaller or hazardous areas.
How we utilise Vac-Ex machines in Construction
Vac-Ex is a non-intrusive method of excavation that uses compressed air to loosen up the ground, followed by suction to remove the loose material. A Vac-Ex machine can generate a powerful stream of air with an operator controlling the intake nozzle, providing full control of the excavation while they remain at a safe distance. This method significantly reduces spoil and dust because all of the extracted material is sucked directly into sealed collection chambers on the machine, making it particularly suitable for use in confined spaces.

Hydraulic Bursting
Also known as hydraulic splitting, or hydraulic / silent demolition, bursting is a method used to burst large volumes of concrete in a controlled methodical manner.
