ErgoKneeler™
The ErgoKneeler™ is a kneeling system that can provide comfort, support and ease of movement for people such as nurses, midwives, podiatrists, orthotists, therapists, care workers and educational staff who undertake tasks at a low level. It can assist the user in managing the postural stressing associated with kneeling, helping to reduce the cumulative strain and promote musculoskeletal health.
Moulded in polyurethane foam with active antibacterial properties, the ergonomic design alleviates the compression forces and postural discomfort associated with low working positions and promotes good spinal posture. Designed by a Chartered Physiotherapist and Back Care Adviser, the ErgoKneeler™ is the result of collaborative working with Spectrum Healthcare (UK) Ltd and The Design Unit, De Montfort University, Leicester.
ErgoRaiser™
The ErgoRaiser™ is a modular limb support designed to address the postural and comfort needs of both patient/client and practitioner. It is easy to use, has superior infection control properties and low maintenance costs.
With its versatile range of elevations and angles of support, the unique ErgoRaiser™ can provide comfortable support for a limb from either floor level or from raised surfaces such as a plinth, bed or table. The sturdy construction can also assist the practitioner in having both hands free to carry out the required health/care procedure.
Moulded in antimicrobial polyethylene and polyurethane, the smooth lines and open design of the ErgoRaiser™ ensure all areas are accessible for efficient and effective cleaning. The multi-positional, easy to clean support pad eliminates the ongoing expense and environmental impact of disposable slings, making the ErgoRaiser™ both economical and eco-friendly.
Weighing only 2kg, the ErgoRaiser™ has integral handles to enable easy moving and handling in all situations. The top module and pad may be stowed within the lower module to aid portability and storage. An optional shoulder strap is also available.
When used at floor level in conjunction with its sister product the ErgoKneeler™, the two devices form a very effective system for managing the physical difficulties of the entire kneeling posture. However, the ErgoRaiser™ also works well with other kneeling aids or simply by itself.
There are many settings where the ErgoRaiser™ has useful application including in acute and community healthcare, social care, occupational health, private practice and the wider community.
The ErgoRaiser™ is designed, developed and manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom – European Community Registered Design No. 002775023-001.
Bariatric Training Manikin
Heavy duty in construction, these manikins are suitable for use in a wide range of training scenarios. For example; hoisting/transfer practice within healthcare environments, RTC extrications, rescues and emergency evacuation drills. They’re even strong enough to be buried under concrete and steel lintels or placed under a vehicle!
To help achieve correct weight distribution and fluidity of movement, the bariatric manikins are built up using multiple layers of foam with 1/2 kg packets of steel shot sewn across the layers. Furthermore, each foam layer is covered in durable nylon enabling them to move over each other creating the feel of excess body fat.
