Bailey 616D Safety Relief Valve
The Kunkle Bailey 616D safety relief valve is a spring-operated, high-capacity safety valve specifically designed for low-pressure air applications.
Commonly utilised on blowers or bulk transfer vehicles for road and rail transport, the Kunkle Bailey 616D safety relief valve offers essential overpressure protection for positive displacement air blowers, as well as associated tanks and pressure vessels.
Features:
- Engineered to provide precise relieving and re-seating pressures.
- Protected open discharge facilitates downward flow.
- Non-stick seating surfaces ensure a positive shut-off and prevent sticking.
- A combination of aluminium and gunmetal offers a lightweight yet extremely robust construction.
Specifications:
- Material: Body - Aluminium / Trim - PTFE & Bronze
- Sizes: 1.1/2" to 2" (DN40 to DN50)
- Connections: BSP Female inlet x Open discharge outlet
- Medium: Air
- Pressure Range: 0.2 to 2.5 barg (2.9 to 36.3 psig)
- Temperature Range: -30°C to 200°C
The Kunkle Bailey 616D safety relief valve is the ideal solution for maintaining safety and efficiency in your low-pressure air systems, ensuring reliable performance in various applications.
FSKRDA - ASME Approved Rupture Discs
The FSKRDA rupture discs use advanced sector technology, ensuring the convex disc camber remains unchanged by operating pressure until reverse pressure is reached. Designed for high reliability, they handle up to 95% operating-to-burst pressure ratios and thousands of cycles without compromising performance. On activation, the disc opens fully along the scored line within milliseconds, without fragmentation. These discs are less sensitive to temperature variations, making them ideal for applications with wide thermal swings.
Their innovative design allows safe use with liquids only, including cycling and pulsating conditions, without reducing safety margins. They are particularly suitable for isolating safety valves. A wide range of materials and thicknesses provides excellent corrosion resistance, further enhanced with optional PTFE linings. Vacuum support is not required, and the discs can withstand high counter-pressures.
