FSDCDFA - Forward Acting Rupture Discs

FSDCDFA - Forward Acting Rupture Discs

The FSDCDFA Forward Acting Rupture Discs are composite conventional discs formed by three parts: a slotted, perforated metal part, a seal membrane (usually in PTFE but also available in many other metallic or non-metallic materials) and a protection section. It is excellent for use with gas and liquids in static conditions and excellent for low pressures. FSDCDFA discs react to excessive pressure with total opening in a few milliseconds without fragmentation. They are therefore recommended for valve protection. Supports may be provided for vacuum or counter-pressure protection. Composite FSDCDFA rupture discs may also be used for simultaneous protection from pressure and vacuum.

Reliance RWC TPR15 Pressure & Temperature Relief Valve 1/2

Reliance RWC TPR15 Pressure & Temperature Relief Valve 1/2" x 15mm 7 Bar - PTEM550854

The Reliance Water Controls (RWC) TPR15 Pressure and Temperature Relief Valves are compact yet robust solutions, expertly designed to safeguard against over-pressurisation in unvented hot water systems. These essential valves are specifically intended for installation at the upper section of a hot water cylinder, where the highest temperatures are typically encountered. In the event that the system temperature exceeds 95°C, the wax mixture within the temperature probe's element expands, lifting the valve off its seat to release water safely, thereby alleviating pressure within the cylinder. Furthermore, if water pressure escalates without a corresponding temperature rise, the valve remains shut until the predefined pressure of the relief mechanism is reached, at which point it will open to release excess pressure. Certain models feature a PTFE coating on the Male BSP inlet thread, facilitating a quicker and more efficient installation process.

Features and Benefits:

  • Provides protection against temperatures exceeding 95°C
  • Prevents over-pressurisation of the system
  • Twist top cartridge design for straightforward servicing
  • Available with various pressure settings and probe lengths
  • Includes PTFE coating in select models

Specifications:

  • Size: 1/2" x 15mm
  • Connections: BSP Male Inlet x Compression Outlet
  • Materials: Brass
  • Medium: Hot water only
  • Set Pressure (Set & Locked): 7 Barg
  • Temperature Relief: +90 to 95°C
  • Discharge Capacity: 10 kW
  • Probe Length: 95mm
  • Product Code: PTEM550854
  • Notes: With PTFE, WRAS approved

Invest in the RWC TPR15 Pressure and Temperature Relief Valves for reliable performance and peace of mind in your hot water systems.

Reliance RWC 103 Series Pressure Relief Valve With Gauge Port 15mm x 15mm 3 Bar - PREL103005

Reliance RWC 103 Series Pressure Relief Valve With Gauge Port 15mm x 15mm 3 Bar - PREL103005

The PREL103005 Sealed Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) with a 1/4" Gauge Port (valve supplied without gauge) effectively discharges water from the system at a predetermined pressure, in the event of over-pressurisation within your heating system. The Reliance Valves 103 Series Sealed Heating System Pressure Relief Valve is primarily designed as a critical safety component within sealed heating systems. Upon installation, the pressure relief valve is calibrated to an appropriate pressure. If the system pressure exceeds this set point, the valve activates and releases excess pressure into the atmosphere, thereby preventing the pressure from escalating to potentially hazardous levels that could not only damage the heating system but also pose risks to individuals nearby.

**Features and Benefits:**

  • Diaphragm design enhances resistance to scaling, prolonging the valve's lifespan
  • Easy removal of the single-piece cartridge allows for straightforward cleaning or cartridge replacement
  • Set relief pressure range of 3.0 bar
  • Available with 15mm connections for installation versatility
  • Designed exclusively for heating applications

**Specification:**

  • Size: 15mm x 15mm
  • Connections: Compression Inlet x Compression Outlet
  • Materials: Hot pressed DZR Brass
  • Medium: Water
  • Set Pressure: 3 Barg
  • Temperature: +140°C
  • Product Code: PREL103005
  • Notes: WRAS approved, includes a 1/4" Gauge port (valve supplied without gauge)

Investing in the PREL103005 sealed PRV ensures the safety and integrity of your heating system, providing peace of mind and reliable operation.

Medenus S100 Gas Safety Shut Off Valve

Medenus S100 Gas Safety Shut Off Valve

**Medenus S100 Gas Safety Shut-Off Valve** The Medenus S100 Gas Safety Shut-Off Valve is engineered to effectively terminate gas flow when the outlet pressure in the regulating section deviates from predetermined response limits. This intelligent valve is equipped with an SSV control device that continuously monitors the outlet pressure via a dedicated measurement line. In response to pressure changes, the diaphragm within the control unit adjusts accordingly. When the outlet pressure dips below the designated lower switch-off point or ascends beyond the upper switch-off point, the switch socket linked to the SSV diaphragm shifts to an appropriate disengaged position. This action releases the engaging mechanism's balls, allowing the SSV screw spindle to be retracted. Consequently, the closing spring exerts pressure on the SSV valve plate against the valve seat, ensuring a gas-tight closure of the gas flow. The SSV can only be manually reopened and secured in the open position. To facilitate this, the outlet pressure at the measuring point must either fall below the upper response pressure or rise above the lower response pressure by at least the re-engagement differential amount (Δp). The SSV is adaptable to either functional class A (featuring diaphragm rupture protection) or class B (lacking diaphragm rupture protection), provided it adheres to specific national regulations. Additionally, there is an option to incorporate a remote display indicating the SSV position as “CLOSED”, along with both manual and remote release capabilities, operational during power supply or outages. **Specifications** - **Sizes**: 1" (DN25) to 8" (DN200) - **Connections**: Flanged PN or ANSI - **Medium**: Gas - **Operating Pressure**: 8 Barg - **Release Mechanism**: Lack of pressure and overpressure - **Notes**: Usable in any orientation; features a gas-tight zero position Enhance your gas safety measures with the Medenus S100 Gas Safety Shut-Off Valve, a reliable choice for effective gas flow management.
