Spigot Glass Balustrades
Made2Measure's spigot system offers a sleek, frameless glass balustrade solution featuring a discreet spigot, available with or without a handrail to ensure your view remains unobstructed! Crafted from Grade 316 stainless steel with a brushed satin finish, our spigot system meets BS 6180 standards with a robust 0.74kN rating. Independent static calculations verify that this system is suitable for high wind load areas, provided the appropriate fixing data is followed (further consideration is required for extreme wind loads). The maximum height for this system is 1120mm, with a maximum glass span of 1500mm. We can manufacture the system to different heights for an additional charge, and it can accommodate design angles other than 90 degrees with a handrail by using our adjustable handrail connectors, available in both vertical and diagonal versions.
For heights exceeding 8m, it may be advisable to reinforce the system by opting for a handrail solution if you initially selected no handrail; however, our test data does not mandate this.
This system is suitable for both internal and external use, with the 0.74kN rating covering all domestic applications as well as light industrial use with limited footfall traffic.
Kindly note that spigots are not the most suitable solution for staircases, as additional charges will apply for shaped cut-outs.
Glass Juliette Balcony
The Skyforce Juliet glass balcony system offers a virtually invisible design that is easy to install, all at an unbeatable price point.
This system can be directly mounted onto either the window frame or masonry, and is capable of covering a full width with just a single profile.
It is available in both a face-fixed and a side (reveal) fixed model for those who prefer not to affix it to their window frames.
