This machine is a fully automatic book block system which produces layflat book blocks from single sheets. It can make premium book formats not only by gluing the paper back to back but also by inserting cardboard between sheets. The station, creaser and folder are all included in this compact little machine!

This machine is designed to automatically apply the hard cover to the book block following the application of hot melt adhesive to the end papers. This gives a very strong bond to all types of book blocks and eliminates warping effects. Once the cover has been applied to the book block, the cased in book travels automatically to the pressing station where the spine is formed under heat and pressure. The finished book is delivered automatically onto the conveyor.

This system unites the versatility and precision of laser finishing with the efficiency and time-saving advantages of automated robotic part handling. Integrated with a high-speed robotic system, the laser operates dynamically according to stored job parameters and is managed by LasX’s patented LightGuide software. The robot automatically separates processed parts from waste material, then stacks, sorts, rotates, or shingles them as required.
